Codes of Conduct

First and foremost it is essential that our players, parents, spectators, coaches, team managers and club officials understand and abide by the Club's Codes of Conduct.

Volunteering

The entire Club is built upon our sense of community and the hard work of our volunteers.

It all starts with your child's team.

GENERAL DUTIES:

All families are expected to support their team by helping out with:

  • Game Day Set Up

  • Half Time Fruit

  • Home Game ground set-up/pack up

  • Referee ( MiniRoos)

  • Lines Person (Juniors & Youth)

  • Marshal (Juniors & Youth)

  • Canteen Service ( each team is rostered to help out at least 1 Home round)

TEAM MANAGER

Every team needs a Team Manager.
Without a Team Manager we can't enter the team.

As a Team Manager you will support your team's families by

  • acting as the point of contact between the team and our Age Level Coordinators/ the Committee.

  • manage the Team roster for the Match Day roles (as above)

  • uniform sizing & distribution in preseason

  • Official team photo

  • working with the coach to keep track of End of Season Award nominees

  • End of Season event management

We have provided a Team Managers Guide and the Age Level Coordinators / Committee members are here to help should you have any questions.
Please contact your Junior Coordinator if you would like to be your child's Team Manager.

TEAM COACH

MiniRoos Community Teams have reduced fees as the team is to be coached by a volunteer parent coach.
Football Victoria provide a free Grassroots course (approx 3 hours) to help budding coaches with the fundamentals.

The club has a library of resources to help coaches build their sessions and will run Coach the Coaches sessions to support volunteer coaches.

The club has also appointed a Coaching Coordinator to provide guidance and session plans to make it easier to organise your training.

AGE LEVEL COORDINATORS

Each Age Group needs a person to act as the point of contact between the Club Committee and an age group's (U7,U8,U9 etc)  Team Managers & Parents. This person helps the club ensure communication of important information flows in both directions efficiently.

The role is primarily engaged in the pre-season to help the club manage registrations, trials, team selections and the appointment of Coaches and Team Managers.

Age Level Coordinators work with Team Managers to ensure the roster for Club Canteen is filled for home games.

Throughout the season there are also special events such as Team Photos and Club Social events and End of Season presentations which require the support of the Age Level Coordinators.

SOCIAL EVENT COORDINATORS

Throughout the year the club runs several social events to unite our members and help us raise much needed funds for equipment and services.

Each event is supported by small groups of parents who help plan and deliver an event.

Examples of events include A-League Gala Days, Club Trivia Nights and BB
